Job Description (EN)

Are you passionate about helping children navigate behavioural challenges, develop emotional regulation skills, and reach their full potential?

Thrive Elementary is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Student Behaviour Support & Thrive Time Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in Behaviour Therapy, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.

Under the direction of the Principal, this position plays an important role in supporting Thrive Elementary's therapeutic, relationship-based approach to student behaviour. The successful candidate will provide hands-on behavioural support, help implement individualized behaviour strategies, and promote positive social-emotional development in a safe, structured, and inclusive environment.

In addition to direct student support, this role provides leadership and coordination for Thrive Time, our after-school program. You will mentor and support program staff, reinforce consistent behaviour strategies, and help create engaging experiences that encourage students to build confidence, independence, and positive relationships.

You will work closely with Thrive's multidisciplinary student support team, which includes an Emotional Behavioural Specialist, Behaviourist, and Educational Assistants. Together, you will promote consistency in therapeutic practices and behavioural support throughout the school day and after-school programming.

This role is ideal for someone who combines a strong understanding of behavioural intervention with a genuine passion for working with children, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and support a team.
